NT. AT A HOTEL WITH REV. JACKSON. — NIGHT

Staff Sergeant Winston who was my KEY arranged a meeting with me and Rev.  Jesse Jackson.
REV. JACKSON
Who are you?
Frank Paul Jones was in the process of becoming Paul Castellano, right before Rev.  Jackson.
FRANK PAUL JONES
I am afraid; they are going to kill me.
Then Paul Castellano started laughing, saying Frank Paul Jones is a baby, and he wasn’t that body he just resides in it.
REV. JACKSON

PAUL CASTELLANO
He has to overcome it, he had to know, but he has to overcome it.

What are you going to do to the people responsible for this?
PAUL CASTELLANO
What do you suggest?
REV. JACKSON

PAUL CASTELLANO
You are right and I assume you are afraid for your life as well, but you will be all right, it’s all a part of the Master Plan.
The decision was made to protect Jesse, because he had a strong Presidential campaign and the decision was made to handle the people who raped Paul.

I don’t remember the last day in Germany of this tour.  All I remember was being with a prostitute in Frankfurt, who told me I had to return to Swhweinfurt to resolve this situation, then I saw Staff Sergeant Winston who said, there he goes, and then later on that night I remember sweating on top of the same prostitute, and she said, now you can go home.

Then he ripped the picture up.  For about six months after getting out of the Military I got drunk, because I was a broken man.
INT. MILITARY INSTALLATION IN FLORIDA. — DAY
FRANK PAUL JONES (V.O.)
I never really looked for a job, and just before my six months was up whereby if I reenlisted I would have lost one rank, I joined the Army again, but it wasn’t the same, even as I reenlisted to go back to Fort Polk.  I married a stranger to get out of the barracks in fear of being raped again due to my drinking problem, and I was put under a lot of pressure by Sergeant First Class Felbush.  He would tell me John Gotti needs you, but I didn’t understand what he was talking about.  I was burnt out from all this covert shit and didn’t know what was going on.  One day I decided I had to get out of the Army, and I went AWOL.  I went to [A Town in] Louisiana and got a phone call at a Motel and went to see this guy, who blew his own head off.  This was a favor from John Gotti.  Then the next morning I got on the road and drove to New York, stopping only for food and relief.  It took about one and a half days.  When I got to New York I was taken  to a secret meeting that determined the fate of the fake Godfather Big Paul.  This meeting took place in September 1995 and he was whacked in December 1995, and after I returned to the Army for my punishment in September, I was released from retraining in February 1996 and discharged in July 1987.  After I got out of retraining I was still in the Army, I just didn’t have a duty assignment, and I ended up experiencing homelessness, because I returned to New York short on money and didn’t trust certain people enough to put my Welfare in their hands because of past experiences of mistreatment and like I said, I was a broken man.
EXT. IN THE QUEENSBRIDGE PROJECTS ON 5 JULY 1989. — DAY
A dude called Chico walked up to me showing me that he had a gun.
CHICO
Somebody is here to see you.
FRANK PAUL JONES
If you are going to kill me, kill be here, because I AM not going anywhere with you.
The reason for this response was I use to go to his bar and give him a hard time, because I couldn’t handle my alcohol consumption, so I thought he was out to hurt me.  I was just let out the hospital for one day, for administrative reasons after detoxification and was scheduled to go back into the hospital for 28 days of alcohol rehabilitation.
Chico walked off after an argument.  Then a dude named Russell walked up to me and asked me what in the hell was wrong with me.  He showed me he wasn’t packing and KEYED in Paul Castellano, he had a KEY.
He took me to a Park two blocks away from where we were.  I saw Janet, a Producer name Jimmy Jam, and an old friend who arranged this meeting a radio personality named Dr. Bob Lee.
PAUL CASTELLANO
What is going on?
RUSSELL
That girl came to see you.
PAUL CASTELLANO
Who?
JANET
Me Paul, you told me to say, “Come to you.”
I started to remember things again; those were code words to wake me up.
PAUL CASTELLANO
I said, for you to say “Come to me.”
I remembered the meeting in 1975 when the arrangement was made.  A lot of things came back to me.  We walked to a bench and talked for a little while, as I asked her crazy questions, like, “Are you real?”  “Is that your real nose?”  And so on.
JANET

PAUL CASTELLANO
Janet I love you and everything is going to be all right, but I have to do what I AM about to do to protect you.
I cursed her out and called her a whore, because I knew I had to face a very powerful man and I didn’t know who he was and I didn’t want Janet to be used as leverage against me.  Everybody was surprised of my behavior, but Janet knew it was all an act.
INT. INSIDE A PUB IN QUEENSBRIDGE. — DAY
Next thing I knew I was inside of a bar, and I saw a few people, but I mainly notice the three men in the back of the Pub.  One of the men had a gun with a silencer.
PAUL CASTELLANO
What are you going to do, are you going to kill me?
I got louder and louder.
PAUL CASTELLANO (CONT’D)
Are you going to kill me?
The man in the middle said he isn’t going to kill you Paul.  Hey put that gun away!
Then the man in the middle said, Chico has something you have to drink.  I said I don’t drink anymore I just got out of detoxification.  The man in the middle said it isn’t alcohol, it is truth serum and you have to drink it.
PAUL CASTELLANO (CONT’D)
I don’t drink!
RUSSELL
(yelled)
Didn’t the man say drink the shit, now damn it drank the shit?
I drank the shit.
PAUL CASTELLANO
Damn that shit is strong, when I was drinking were was that shit?
Then like something out of Mission Impossible, the man in the middle took off a mask.
PAUL CASTELLANO (CONT’D)
I know you!
The man in the middle said, how do you know me?
PAUL CASTELLANO (CONT’D)
I saw you in the newspaper.
The man in the middle said, who I am.

Gulf Oil was a major global oil company from 1901 until March 15, 1985.[1] The eighth-largest American manufacturing company in 1941 and the ninth-largest in 1979, Gulf Oil was one of the so-called Seven Sisters oil companies. Prior to its merger with Standard Oil of California, Gulf was one of the chief instruments of the Mellon family fortune; both Gulf and Mellon Financial had their headquarters in Pittsburgh.
Gulf's former headquarters, originally referred to as "the Gulf Building" (now the Gulf Tower office condos), is an Art Deco skyscraper. The tallest building in Pittsburgh until 1970, when it was eclipsed by the U.S. Steel Tower, it is capped by a step pyramid structure several stories high. Until the late 1970s, the entire top was illuminated, changing color with changes in barometric pressure to provide a weather indicator that could be seen for many miles.
Gulf Oil Corporation (GOC) ceased to exist as an independent company in 1985, when it merged with Standard Oil of California (SOCAL), with both re-branding as Chevron in the United States. Gulf Canada, Gulf's main Canadian subsidiary, was sold the same year with retail outlets to Ultramar and Petro-Canada and what became Gulf Canada Resources to Olympia & York.[1][2] However, the Gulf brand name and a number of the constituent business divisions of GOC survived. EXXON
Exxon /ˈɛksɒn/ was the brand name of oil and natural resources company Exxon Corporation, prior to 1972 known as Standard Oil Company of New Jersey. In 1999, Exxon Corporation merged with Mobil to form ExxonMobil. Freedom of the press or freedom of the media is the principle that communication and expression through various media, including printed and electronic media, especially published materials, should be considered a right to be exercised freely. Such freedom implies the absence of interference from an overreaching state; its preservation may be sought through constitutional or other legal protections.
With respect to governmental information, any government may distinguish which materials are public or protected from disclosure to the public. State materials are protected due to either of two reasons: the classification of information as sensitive, classified or secret, or the relevance of the information to protecting the national interest. Many governments are also subject to sunshine laws or freedom of information legislation that are used to define the ambit of national interest.
The United Nations' 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference, and to seek, receive, and impart information and ideas through any media regardless of frontiers".[1]
This philosophy is usually accompanied by legislation ensuring various degrees of freedom of scientific research (known as scientific freedom), publishing, and press. The depth to which these laws are entrenched in a country's legal system can go as far down as its constitution. The concept of freedom of speech is often covered by the same laws as freedom of the press, thereby giving equal treatment to spoken and published expression. Sweden was the first country in the world to adopt freedom of the press into its constitution with the Freedom of the Press Act of 1766.


The Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989, 5 U.S.C. 2302(b)(8)-(9), Pub.L. 101-12 as amended, is a United States federal law that protects federal whistleblowers who work for the government and report the possible existence of an activity constituting a violation of law, rules, or regulations, or mismanagement, gross waste of funds, abuse of authority or a substantial and specific danger to public health and safety. A federal agency violates the Whistleblower Protection Act if agency authorities take (or threaten to take) retaliatory personnel action against any employee or applicant because of disclosure of information by that employee or applicant.[1]






The Freedom Act, passed by Congress and signed by the president Tuesday night, reauthorizes parts of the USA Patriot Act but dissolves its notorious bulk data collection of Americans' phone records and Internet metadata


The Patriot Act is legislation passed in 2001 to improve the abilities of U.S. law enforcement to detect and deter terrorism. The act's official title is, “Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism,” or USA-PATRIOT.
The USA PATRIOT Act is an Act of Congress signed into law by United States President George W. Bush on October 26, 2001.[1] With its ten-letter abbreviation (USA PATRIOT) expanded, the Act's full title is "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001".[2] The abbreviation, as well as the full title, have been attributed to Chris Cylke, a former staffer on the House Judiciary Committee.[3][4] For further information on the background of the legislation, see the history of the Patriot Act.
In response to the September 11 attacks and the 2001 anthrax attacks, Congress swiftly passed legislation to strengthen national security. On October 23, 2001, Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrennerintroduced H.R. 3162 incorporating provisions from a previously-sponsored House bill and a Senate bill also introduced earlier in the month.[5] The next day, the Act passed the House by a vote of 357–66,[6] with Democrats comprising the overwhelming portion of dissent. The three Republicans voting "no" were Robert Ney of Ohio, Butch Otter of Idaho, and Ron Paul of Texas. On October 25, the Act passed the Senate by a 98–1 vote, the only dissident being Russ Feingold of Wisconsin.[7]
Those opposing the law have criticized its authorization of indefinite detentions of immigrants; the permission given to law enforcement to search a home or business without the owner's or the occupant's consent or knowledge; the expanded use of National Security Letters, which allows the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to search telephone, e-mail, and financial records without a court order; and the expanded access of law enforcement agencies to business records, including library and financial records. Since its passage, several legal challenges have been brought against the act, and federal courts have ruled that a number of provisions are unconstitutional.
Many of the act's provisions were to sunset beginning December 31, 2005, approximately four years after its passage. In the months preceding the sunset date, anybody supporting the act pushed to make its sun-setting provisions permanent, while critics sought to revise various sections to enhance civil liberty protections. In July 2005, the U.S. Senate passed a reauthorization bill with substantial changes to several of the act's sections, while the House reauthorization bill kept most of the act's original language. The two bills were then reconciled in a conference committee criticized by Senators from both the Republican and Democratic parties for ignoring civil liberty concerns.[8]
The bill, which removed most of the changes from the Senate version, passed Congress on March 2, 2006, and was signed by President Bush on March 9 and 10 of that year.
On May 26, 2011, President Barack Obama signed the PATRIOT Sunsets Extension Act of 2011, a four-year extension of three key provisions in the Act:[9] roving wiretaps, searches of business records, and conducting surveillance of "lone wolves"—individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to terrorist groups.[10]
Following a lack of Congressional approval, parts of the Patriot Act expired on June 1, 2015.[11] With passing the USA Freedom Act on June 2, 2015, the expired parts were restored and renewed through 2019.[12] However, Section 215 of the law was amended to stop the National Security Agency (NSA) from continuing its mass phone data collection program.[12] Instead, phone companies will retain the data and the NSA can obtain information about targeted individuals with permission from a federal court.[12]
